THE PULLER on Amazon

Okay, so this sort of thing is new to me: My debut novel THE PULLER just broke into the top 100 for horror on Amazon, and actually passed Jurassic Park.

It’s on sale, so now is a good time to check it out.

THE PULLER also makes an appearance in this month’s edition of Glancer magazine.

Also, the author lineup for the Montana Book Festival is shaping up, and it’s looking fantastic.

THE PULLER this and that

First, let me thank everyone for the amazing feedback.

Seriously.

I’ve been getting email and FB messages from readers who loved my debut, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. A hearty thanks to all who have purchased the book or made comments.

Also, I’ve just found out the German translated version will be released in October. So Matt Kearns will be having an extended stay in Germany. I’m honored to be cracking into the German market, and it’s especially cool because of my German heritage.

I’ll also be appearing for a reading/signing event at Fact and Fiction in Missoula, September 29th, 7 pm.

And if you haven’t stopped by my official Facebook Page yet, swing on by and say hello.

And finally, there may be news concerning a new novel. Stay tuned….

August 16th, the Hastings in South Hill Spokane, Washington from 4-7 pm.

August 17, the Hastings in Richland, Washington.

August 18th, the Hastings in Wenatchee, Washington from 1-6 pm.

August 29th, the Hastings in Lewiston, Idaho from 4-8 pm.

More dates to come.

Alex Kane’s ASPHODEL

Alex Kane has been a writing friend for quite some time. His work is sharp and colorful, and I have no doubt ASPHODEL will continue his high standards. I’m glad to have him here for an interview.

1. What is Asphodel?

Asphodel’s an underworld myth for fans of space opera: things like Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, the videogame Destiny, or the Expanse books. It’s a 22-page, standalone comic book that I’m hoping will gain enough traction with readers to grow into something bigger, like a limited series or graphic novel. It’s the kind of blockbuster story we’ve never really seen in visual science fiction before, and I’m so thrilled to be working with an amazing artist like Gale Galligan, who’s done all the illustration in watercolor and also hand-lettered the book. I have pretty high hopes for the Kickstarter campaign. Gale and I would love to keep this going for a second issue, a third issue, and see what the future might hold.
