This image was taken on July 26th, 1 am atop Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. I had the place to myself, as the Milky Way shimmered overhead, and cool winds relaxed me from the hot day.
I thought of my grandmother, who recently passed. And I thought of all life, and how we’re here for such a short time.
It looks like The Horror Writer’s Association has their 2017 Bram Stoker Award Recommendations List up. On it, you’ll find my novel BLACK FRIDAY, along with novels like BORNE by Jeff VanderMeer and MONSTROSITY by Tim Curran.
It’s nice to be on the list.
If you have not checked out BLACK FRIDAY yet, it’s now out (and soon to be an audiobook).
Hey everyone, I’ve got a promotion brewing for my newsletter. I’ll be giving away a free copy of my short story collection, THE GLOAMING: 16 ORGANIC TALES to those who sign up. The collection includes stories published across a wide array of professional science fiction and horror magazines, plus new stories like “Gudmund’s Wolf” and “For You, the River.” If you liked my novels, you’ll really like THE GLOAMING.
My monthly newsletter will also include writing news, movie news related to my novels, personal anecdotes and pictures.
As always, thanks for supporting my creative madness. Without you all, this wouldn’t be possible.
I was fortunate enough to get up to Glacier National Park with my girlfriend last week. I thought I’d share a photo of “Trick Falls” more commonly known as Running Eagle Falls.
If you look closely, you’ll see two falls, an upper, and a hidden underground falls. I’ve been all over the lower 48, and Glacier has no peer.
My new novel, THE LAST COLOSSUS is now out in Ebook. The paperback will be out very soon.
This is my first shark novel, but not my first shark story. I wrote a piece called “Uncommon Ally” a few years back, which appeared in Penumbra Magazine.
THE LAST COLOSSUS takes place off the Washington coast, in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. You can check it out here.
